CT Pizza

Let's not debate this here. Lets, for the sake of argument agree: Connecticut has the best pizza.

My Platonic ideal of a pizzeria, First and Last

If you were raised in CT, got a degree in CT or drove through CT travelling from Boston to New York, then chances are you have your favorites. For me it has always been First and Last in Hartford, and recently I had a birthday party there that totally re-affirmed it for me: big pizzas with quality ingredients and a charred crust that barely flops when you hold it. The ambiance is perfect and I've always had amazing service. Recently Krust in Middletown has also stolen my heart with their skillfully made pies. Their changing menu of seasonal ingredients is a nice foil to the familiar stand-bys at F&L.

I always have trouble getting a good snap when I'm eating pizza, but the bar at Krust is always photogenic. In addition to an extensive Whiskey selection, they also have a rotating selection of beer on tap which is always pitch perfect.
