Garden Journal Templates
I have a little nature journal where I keep pencil sketches, but I was looking for something a little bit more structured for my garden. I wanted to be able to keep track of information about my plants year to year as well as a spot to sketch them and possibly even add pressed leaves. I was not finding a journal I liked, so I made a set of sheets that I can print on matte paper and then add to a binder that I have once my art work is finished. This allows me to be able to include things like pressings or rubbings that can be hard to include in a bound journal. I will also use this as a place to store things like seed packets and nursery tags.
These are a bit idiosyncratic to my own garden needs- I didn’t include a spot for how much water or sun a plant needs because I only acquire plants that work in my particular yard and do not require excessive watering. I also included pages for my rose bushes and sunflower patch, which are also specific to my garden. But, I thought other’s might enjoy access to these as the beginning of a garden journal or art project with children. You could also use these for houseplants. They might also be a nice card to attach to cut flowers, divided plants or seeds that you share! Enjoy!
